Bloomfield Market -partial. We have four tables full, and that's still not enough space. That's why the truck, too..and the floor too... and also flowers and pumpkins etc on the green under the trees. The guy sitting down is my husband Mark. Behind us, with the van, another vendor.
Another view of the same Market - the kids edited out.
Sorry. I'm not comfortable displaying them on the net, as proud as I am of them.
If you know us, you know the kids.
Layer Hens and their Roo enjoying the "Mini-Pasture"
Old English Red Pile Trio with a blue
This Trio is For Sale
We discussed this for a long time. We want to keep them, but our options are limited by too many roosters, and a couple hens not getting along. Someone has to leave. It came down to these, since everyone had someone who could absolutely not leave... These I wanted to keep, because they are the gentlest of them all. Not even the rooster has a bad attitude. They were hatched spring 2008.The little blue is not included.

Young roo just got a second hen - feeling pretty proud
She's one of my specials. Not too social with the other chickens yet, she's a great pet. We bought her with some others, to replace the ones we lost to the racoon.
Our Silkies on their porch, in an outside cage at the time. They're now with the young birds in the coup by the house, where it's much warmer in the winter.
Our newest addition - Call Ducks. They're just too cute. They need a lot more contact, then there will be better pictures.
Two more of those cuties, in their temporary quarters in the house-coup. We tried them in an outside pen, even buried a kids' pool for them, to swim in. It didn't take five minutes for the Hawk to circle. He wasn't even bothered much by our presence, but didn't try for them.
We'll have to put heavy netting on top first.
That's scheduled soon. Until then, supervised field trips to the pool.
Our long term lease field. Put to bed for the winter.
One of them is ours. They're tame enough to be pets this year. Good thing they're not in my care. They'd never make it the freezer. You can laugh, it's O.K. I rather have friends then meat.
That's me, Susanne, behind the table, at the last October '08 Market. I'm wearing the warmest coat I own, and cut off gloves. I wasn't sweating.
This is what I was going to wear to the last Market, so close to Halloween. But it got way too cold. Still, we had fun planing to make it a Halloween Market.
